Dental Abscess- Infection
 
 
Severe Pain in the Mouth or Jaws-  Severe dental pain is a sure sign of injury or infection or and exposed nerve tissue, a signal telling you to see a dentist right away.

Lost or Broken Filling-  If you think or know that you have lost or broken filling, call us immediately for your appointment. It is very crucial for prompt treatment to stop the infection from setting in.

Gum Swelling-  Acute gum swelling can cause by a foreign particles trapped between the gum and tooth.  Most of swelling come from poor oral hygiene causing gingivitis and periodontitis. 
 
Facial Swelling and Inflammation- An inflamed, pus filled lump in the bone or soft tissues of the jaw. The abscess may be caused by tooth decay or by an injury to the tooth.

Persistent Bleeding in the Mouth- Pressure is key to stop the bleeding, if you cannot stop it call 911.

Trouble Breathing- Call 911 if you can get to your Physician.

Oral injuries are often painful, and should be treated by a dentist as soon as possible. Dental Emergencies may include teeth that have been knocked out (avulsed), forced out of position (extruded), or broken (fractured.) Sometimes lips, gums or cheeks have cuts.  Also swollen cheek, swollen gum with mild to severe pain or no pain at all.

Dental emergencies are rarely life-threatening, but they may become so if not attended to.
